EFFECT OF DUKU (Lansium domesticum Corr) SEED EXTRACT ON URINATION ALLOXAN INDUCED DIABETIC RATS

ABSTRACT Duku seed extract has hypoglycemic effect. The result of phytochemical screening showed the presence flavonoid, triterpen and saponin. To determine effect, clinical trial was carried out on alloxan induced diabetic rats. aims study is to effect duku urination Experimental with pre-and post-test control group design at Laboratory Chemistry Analysis MIPA Faculty Animal House Medicine Sriwijaya University in January 2014 March 2014. subject were 30 male white rats 2-aged 3 months weight 200-250 g. Rats made diabetes by intraperitoneal administration 160 mg/kg alloxan. All divided into five groups, K1 which negative treated aquadest, K2 100mg/kgbw, K3 200mg/kgbw, K4 300mg/kgbw, K5 glimepiride 0,018mg/kgbw single dose per day for a period 14 days. data obtained analyzed normality test, paired sample t ANOVA, Post Hoc test using SPSS version 20.Data blood glucose, body weight, urine volume have normally distribution. glucose >200mg/dL can decreased alloxan-induced 100 mg/kgbw no significant difference (P <0.05) between 11th 15thdays.It be concluded that low used diabetio
